Day 01

BEIJING

ARRIVAL IN BEIJING [43.5 m] Important world capital and global power city | & TRANSFER TO HOTEL                        


Embarking on our journey begins from Beijing, the capital city of China. Beijing is an important world capital and global power city, and one of the world's leading centers for politics, economy, business, finance, education, culture, innovation and technology, architecture, language and diplomacy. Our team representative will welcome you at the Airport and escort you to your designated hotel. Our representative will also help you to check in to the hotel. You will be  welcomed, facilitated and served with a beautiful hotel room. The first arrival day is entirely a break day. In the evening, you can walk around nearby touristic hubs. Day 02

BEIJING

We have breakfast in the morning and proceed for the full day Beijing sightseeing covering the following destinations:


·     Summer Palace: The Summer Palace, known as Yiheyuan in Chinese, is a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens and palaces in Beijing, China. It serves as a popular tourist destination and recreational park.


·     Tiananmen Square: Tiananmen Square is a large city square in the centre of Beijing, China, named after the Tiananmen gate located to its North, separating it from the Forbidden City.


·     The Forbidden City from which the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties governed for over 500 years.


·     Houhai:  It is a lake and its surrounding district incentral Beijing, one of the three parts of Shichahai. In recent years it has become famous for nightlife because it is home to many popular restaurants,bars, and cafes. The area is especially popular with foreign tourists visiting Beijing, but is also often visited by the expatriate community and younger locals.

BEIJING

We have breakfast in the morning and proceed for the full day Beijing sightseeing covering the following City tour:


·     GreatWall: The most famous Great Wall & Juyong Pass- a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a massive defensive structure built to keep off intrusion.


·     JuyongPass: Continue sightseeing tour to Longdi Jade shop where we will learn about Chinese jade culture.


·     Bird’s Nest: Afternoon proceed to see the Bird’s Nest (Olympic National Stadium outside) and the Water Cube from outside.


·     Yaxiu market shopping: leisure time to visit around the shops

Day 04

SHANGHAI

HIGH SPEED TRAIN TO SHANGHAI| Shanghai’s Maglev trains are the fastest commercial high-speed electric train in the world |


After having breakfast we head to the train station for high speed train journey to Shanghai. Shanghai is one of the world’s largest seaports and a major industrial and commercial centre of China. The city is located on the coast of the East China Sea between the mouth of the Yangtze River (Chang Jiang) to the north and the bay of Hangzhou to the south. Shanghai’s Maglev trains are the fastest commercial high-speed electric train in the world. Once we arrive Shanghai our team representative helps you to check in to the hotel. After we get refreshed we proceed to visit the following destinations:


·     The Shanghai Museum: The largest museum of ancient Chinese art in Shanghai.


·     People Square and Nanjing Road for shopping: Visiting and enjoying around people square and proceed to Nanjing road for shopping.


·     Visit the lovely old Yuyuan Garden-outside look nine zigzag bridges with golden fish pond, bridges and pavilions.


·     Step onto Yu Market (Old City God's Temple),which is a major yet relatively inactive, Taoist temple in Shanghai.

Ø  Optional program: 1900 pm-2100 pm visiting Xintiandi which is an affluent car-free shopping.   Eating and entertaining district of Shanghai,China. It is composed of an area of reconstituted traditional shikumen("stone gate") houses on narrow alleys, some adjoining   houses which now serve as book stores, cafes and restaurants, and shopping malls. Most of the cafes and restaurants   feature both indoor and outdoor seating. Xintiandi has an active nightlife on weekdays as well as on weekends.

Day 05

SHANGHAI

SHANGHAI SIGHTSEEING | Two jade Buddha statues imported to Shanghai from Myanmar by sea| TAKING A FLIGHT OR TRAIN TO XI’AN


After having breakfast at hotel we proceed for sightseeing covering following destination:


·        The Jade Buddha Temple: The most famous Buddhist temple in Shanghai &Tea Shop.It was founded in 1882 with two jade Buddha statues imported to Shanghai from Myanmar by sea


·        Taobao City for shopping.


·        OrientalPearl TV tower 2nd level ( If time permits)


After visiting the attractions of Shanghai we move ahead to the train station for a train journey to Xian or we can also take a flight instead. As soon as we arrive Xian our team member helps you to check in to the designated hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 06

SHANGHAI - XIAN

XI’AN SIGHTSEEING [405 m] Most famous for its Terracotta Warriors |


Xi'an is often called the birthplace of Chinese civilization. Xi'an is one of the most important and convenient transportation hubs in central and western China. It is most famous for its Terracotta Warriors, which have become an international symbol of China's history.


·        Bell and Drum tower outside look: A classical building with carved beams and painted rafters has been served as the symbol of Xi’an.


·        Big Wild Goose Pagoda square: The great goosepagoda, calling Dayanta in Chinese is built for keeping book.


·        The Muslim Bazaar: the Muslim quarterslies 100 meters west of the Bell tower in downtown Xi’an. The 500 meters long avenue paved by blue stones are dotted with many unique stall, souvenir shop, café and bars which are mostly run by Muslim people.

Day 07

XIAN

XIAN SIGHTSEEING [405 m] | A home to unique souvenirs and local products |


Xi'an is home to unique souvenirs and local products which is also known for its ancient and well preserved city walls.Many tourists enjoy walking sections of the walls during their visit, but another option is to bike on the city wall. After having breakfast we proceed for local city sightseeing covering the following attractions:


·        Terra Cotta Warriors: Visit the incredible 2000 year-old Terra Cotta Warriors. Each one is part of the underground tomb of the Emperor Qin. Well over 7000 figures were drawn up in full battle array in several large pits& Ceramic Shop


·        The Shaanxi Historical Museum: Among the 400,000 items on display are treasures from many of the Dynasties, including some magnificent bronzes and porcelain, many of which have never been on permanent display before.


Dinner atany specialty restaurant. Return to hotel and overnight.

Day 08

XIAN

As soon as we are done with breakfast we drive to the airport for a flight to Xining.  Flight takes approximately one hour and forty five minutes. On board we can enjoy the view of hilly landscapes, lush jungles and stunning horizon. Once we arrive at Xining Airport our team member helps you to check in to the designated hotel. Rest of the day is free for personal activities. We can hang around the city, enjoying some Chinese foods and drinks. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

XINING

XINING SIGHTSEEING [2275 m] Sites of religious significance to Muslims and Buddhists |


Xining is the capital city of Qinghai sheng (province),western interior of China which is located in the eastern part of the province. It is situated in a fertile mountain basin in the valley of the Huang River (Huang Shui), a tributary of the Huang He (Yellow River). After having breakfast we proceed for Half day Xining city Sightseeing. Xiningholds sites of religious significance to Muslims and Buddhists, including the Dongguan Mosque and Ta'er Monastery. We visit some of the central attractions of this city. Once we are done we return to the designated hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 10

XINING

TRAIN JOURNEY TO LHASA | Approx 20 hrs | Beautiful landscape, lush jungles,panoramic view of mountains and greeneries |


We have breakfast in the morning at hotel. Since we take a train in the afternoon we don’t have to wake up early in the morning. Therefore, we can take our time, pack up our belongings and prepare all the required things that we need on board. In the early afternoon we leave for the train station for a train journey to Lhasa. En route we can enjoy the beautiful landscape, lush jungles, panoramic view of mountains and greeneries. Since our journey takes approximately 20 hours we sleep on a train.Overnight stay at on train.

Day 11

LHASA

ARRIVAL IN LHASA [3656 m] You will be welcomed, facilitated and served with a beautiful hotel room |


After a long journey we finally arrive at Lhasa train station. Our team representative welcomes you at the station and escorts you to your designated hotel. Our representative helps you to check into the hotel. You will be welcomed, facilitated and served with a beautiful hotel room. You can take a rest, relax yourself or sleep. In the evening you can walk around, drink and enjoy the beauty of Lhasa. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

LHASA

LHASA CITY SIGHTSEEING [3656 m] Potala Palace is the treasure of Tibetan religion and culture, storing plenty of figures of the Buddha |


After having breakfast we leave for full day city sightseeing tour to Magnificent Potala Palace-the winter palace of the Dalai Lama; the place where the former great Dalai Lama's stupasare being kept; once the seat of the Tibetan government. With a history of over 1,300 years, the Potala Palace is the treasure of Tibetan religion and culture,storing plenty of figures of the Buddha, murals, sutras etc. After visiting Potala Palace, you will visit one of the three largest monasteries of Gelugpa-the Sera Monastery, and the Dalai Lama's summer palace of the treasure Park of Tibet, the Norbulingka. Return to hotel and Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 13

LHASA

LHASA CITY SIGHTSEEING [3656 m] Spiritual center of Tibet, the Jokhang Temple |


As soon as we are done with breakfast we visit the number one Monastery of Gelugpa-Drepung Monastery, which is the richest monastery ever in Tibet, and is still active today. Then we go and visit the spiritual center of Tibet, the Jokhang Temple, where we might meet many pilgrims, who even prostrate by full length to the threshold of the temple. We visit the sacred pilgrim path, the oldest street in Lhasa, the Barkhor Street, which is the place where Tibetan culture, economy, religion and artsassemble. In the afternoon, we visit Tibetan Traditional Hospital, where we see how the Tibetan doctors treat patients in their traditional ways, and in its library. We find massive medical sutras and medical Thankas. The Lhasa Carpet Factory is also a place we should not miss. The carpets are all hand-made on old-styled vertical looms in traditional processes. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 14

LHASA SHIGATSE

DRIVE FROM LHASA TO LHASA SHIGATSE [3845 m] VIAGYANTSE [4000 m] | 5 hrs | Palkor Monastery and Tashilhunpo Monastery |


After having breakfast we drive to Gyantse which is 260 kms far.  En-route we visit Holy Yamdrok Lake, Mt. Nyechen Kangsar glacier, Gyantse Kubum stupa and cross 3 high passes with altitude of 4794 m, 5039 m & 4280 m. As soon as we arrive at Gyantse we take a lunch and proceed to Shigatse which is 90 km far. Finally we arrive in Shigatse and check in to the designated hotel. After getting refreshed we proceed further to visit Palkor Monastery and Tashilhunpo Monastery. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.


Palkhor monastery:Also called “The Baiju Monastery” by the Chinese, this monastery is situated in Xigatse city which is about 230 km away from capital Lhasa. Implausible combination of temples and Stupas attract anyone. The architectures we see in this place are from 14th and 15th century which makes this place a Hotpoint for ancient arc heological researchers. This place has more than 3000 statues from the statues of Buddha to famous King Songtsen Gampo.Number of tourist visiting this place has been increasing every year.


Tashilhunpo Monastery: Located in Shigatse 250 km away from the capital city Tashilhunpo monastery was built by the 1st Dalai Lama in 1447. Among the six hugest monasteries in Tibet this monastery stands on massive area of 300,000 Sq. m and known as the “Seat of Panchen Lama”. Panchen Lama is considered as the second most important religious leader after Dalai Lama in Tibet.

Day 15

RONBUK MONASTERY

DRIVE FROM LHASA SHIGATSE TO RONGBUK MONASTERY [4980]Claimed to be the highest-elevation monastery in the world VIA EVEREST BASE CAMP [5150 m]| 6 hrs |


Right after having breakfast we drive to Everest Base Camp which is 350 km far. En- route we can enjoy the beautiful Tibetan landscape, typical local Tibetan villages etc. After some hours of drive we arrive at famous Rongbuk monastery. Rongbuk is claimed to be the highest-elevation monastery in the world.The monastery was also regularly visited by the early expeditions to Mount Everest in the 1920's and 1930's after a five-week journey from Darjeeling in the Indian foothills of the Himalaya. Our team representative co-operates you to check in to the Hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 16

EBC - RONBUK MONASTERY

DRIVE TO EVEREST BASE CAMP [5150 m] | 1 hr |RETURN TO RONGBUK MONASTERY Onks and nuns live together in a perfect harmony |


After having breakfast we drive to Everest Base Camp and enjoy the stunning view of Mount Everest (8,848 meter)and its surroundings. Everest looks like a giant pyramid standing majestically among the towering mountains and the white clouds looks like a flag on a sunny day. We enjoy the beauty of the Everest some time and drive back to Rongbuk Monastery where Onks and nuns live together in the same monastery in a perfect harmony, practicing a form of tantric Buddhism which forbids speaking.

We can also see the famous Rongbuk Glacier,which is the largest among all the hundreds of glaciers formed around Mt.Everest. Moreover, the panoramic views from the monastery are particularly glorious during sunrise and sunsets. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 17

SAGA

DRIVE FROM RONGBUK MONASTERY TO SAGA [4640 m] The beautiful view of Mt. Shishapama & PeikutsoLake VIA OLD TINGRI | Offers few numbers of guest houses, restaurants, and repair workshops |6-7 hrs |


Right after having breakfast we drive to Saga which is about 400 km far from Rongbuk Monastery. En-route we can enjoy the beautiful view of Mt. Shishapama, Peikutso Lake, amazing hilly landscapes etc. However, we drive via Old Tingri which is a small town in Tingri Country of Shigatse Prefecture in Tibet Autonomous region. Tingri is a gritty town that is around a kilometer long, laid out along the sides of the road. Old Tingri offers few numbers of guest houses, restaurants, and repair workshops. Once we arrive Saga our team representative helps to check in to the designated hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 18

MANSAROVAR

DRIVE FROM SAGA TO MANSAROVAR [4556 m] A combination of the words manas (mind)and sarovara (lake) | 6-7 hrs |


As soon as we are done with breakfast we drive to Mansarovar which is about 450 km far from Saga. En- route we can enjoy Sand dunes & unique Tibetan hilly landscapes. According to Hindu religion, the lake was first created in the mind of the Lord Brahma. Hence, in Sanskrit it is called"Manas sarovara", which is a combination of the words manas (mind)and sarovara (lake). The lake, in Hindu mythology, is also supposed to be the summer abode of swans, which are considered as very wise and sacred birds. It is also believed the Devas descend to bathe in the lake.  Once we arrive Mansarovar lake we enjoy the eye catching view of Holy Mt Kailash, Holy Mt. Gurla Mndhataand Mansarovar Lake. Overnight stay at lodge.

Day 19

DARCHEN

DRIVE FROM MANSAROVAR TO DARCHEN [4690 m] Darchen has several shops with stock items for the pilgrim | 3 hrs |              


After having breakfast we drive to Darchen which is 150 km far from Mansarovar Lake via Rakshas lake and en-route we also visit Chiu Gompa which is just 30 km ahead. The route is a modern two lane highway, which is an absolutely pleasure to travel on. Darchen is a very small town with only one main road. There are several single storey hotels and shops along the road. Darchenh as several shops with stock items for the pilgrims. There are several PCOs also, which can be used to get in touch with our families back home as there won't be any PCO on the Kailash Parikrama. After 3 hrs of drive we reach Darchen and check into hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 20

DIRAPUK

DRIVE FROM DARCHEN TO SERSONG/TARBOCH FLAG POLE & HOLY TREK TO DIRAPUK | Approx 1 hr | & HOLY TREK TO DIRAPUK [4765 m] An auspicious gateway and the sky burial ground | 3-4 hrs |         


We have breakfast in the morning and pack a lunch box for the afternoon. Then we drive to Tarboch Flag Pole, the first prostration point -an auspicious gateway and the sky burial ground. We visit Yamadwar and further drive to Sershong which is total of 8 km from Darchen. We meet our porters or pony caretaker and trek to Dirapuk which is 10 km far from Yamadwar. We can either walk or take a pony ride. Overnight stay at guesthouse.

Day 21

ZUTHULPUK

HOLYTREK FROM DIRAPUK TO ZUTHULPUK [4700 m] Along Parvati-stal and GauriKunda | 7-8 hrs |            


We continue Parikrama over DormaLa Pass which is 5,610 m of height to Zuthulpuk. It is 22 km far from Dirapuk. Today we walk comparatively for long hours, therefore, we encourage you taking a pony ride for the elder Yatris or who is unable to attempt long hours walk.However, we will have a very close view of Mount Kailash en route. After sometime we descend gradually to Zuthulpuk.  We can sit down and meditate once we reach the top. En route we can witness Parvati-stal and Gauri Kunda. Overnight stay at guesthouse.

Day 22

DARCHEN

HOLYTREK FROM ZUTHULPUK TO DARCHEN [4664] Exploring caves, temples and shrines |3-4 hrs |


Before we take breakfast in the morning we can go and explore the caves, temples and shrines around Milarepa Cave. Today is the final day of Mt. Kailash Parikrama which ends near Darchen and is just 14 km far. We start to walk ahead to Darchen. En route we can see the view of Thuktso lake, hilly landscapes and amazing panoramic natural views.Once we reach Darchen we check in to guesthouse. Overnight stay at guesthouse.

Day 23

SAGA

DRIVE FROM DARCHEN TO SAGA [4640 m] The beautiful view of Mt. Shishapama & PeikutsoLake | 6 hrs |


Right after having breakfast we drive to Saga which is about 450 km far from Darchen. En-route we can enjoy the beautiful view of Mt. Shishapama, Peikutso Lake and amazing hilly landscapes. Saga refers as a happy land is an army town with a Chinese garrison which patrols the whole length of the Tibetan-Nepalese border and often conducts target practice with machine guns very close to the town). Sagastraddles the Dargye Tsangpo riverabove its junction with the Brahmaputra River. It is strategically located at the junction of three roads - the Lhartse road coming from the east, the Dzongka road from the south and the Purang and Drongparoads from the west. Once we arrive Saga our team representative helps to check in to the designated hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.


Day 24

LHASA SHIGATSE

DRIVE FROM SAGA TO SHIGATSE | A prefecture-levelcity of the Tibet | 8-9 hrs|


After having breakfast we drive from Saga to Shigatse which is 480 km far. Shigatse is a prefecture-level city of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China which is located within the historical Tsang province of Tibet. After a long drive we arrive in Shigatse. Our team representative helps to check in to the designated hotel.  Overnight stay at hotel.


Day 25

LHASA

DRIVE FROM SHIGATSE TO LHASA [3845 m] VIA GYANTSE [4000 m] | 5 hrs | Palkor Monastery and Tashilhunpo Monastery |

This is the last day of your visit.You can enjoy shopping and buying souvenir to friends and relatives. We will drop you to the airport 3 hrs prior to the departure time.
